Nanda Hill Resort is a 44-room hill resort at Sare Village on the Udaipur to Nathdwara road, near the Chirwa Tunnel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It sits in the Aravalli hills about 34 km by road from Udaipur airport and 23 km from the City Palace. Nanda Hill Resort, also written Nanda Hills Resort and listed on its own website as Nanda Hill Luxury Resort, is built for people who want space and stillness within easy reach of Udaipur. The rooms are large (500 to 1,000 sq ft), the pool is an infinity pool facing the hills, and half the rooms add a plunge pool or jacuzzi of their own. Compact comfort for short stays
The Executive Room is the entry category at Nanda Hill Resort and the one to pick when you want a clean, well-equipped base for a short stay, a business visit or a group trip where most time is spent outdoors. At 500 sq ft it is a non-view room, so the value is in the space, the bed and the resort facilities rather than the panorama.
Large room, private balcony
The Nanda Room is the resort's biggest non-pool category at 1,000 sq ft, with a private balcony that opens toward the Aravalli hills. It suits couples who want space and families who want room to spread out without paying for a private pool.
Private jacuzzi for two
This 700 sq ft room has a private jacuzzi attached to the room, which makes it a natural pick for couples and anniversary stays that want something special without moving up to a plunge pool suite. Photos show the jacuzzi behind a glass door beside the bed.

With 12 rooms, the Signature Suite is the resort's main private pool category. Each 800 sq ft suite pairs generous interiors with its own plunge pool and terrace, so you can swim, lounge and watch the Aravalli sunset without sharing the space.

The most private category, only 4 suites
There are only four Nanda Suites. Each 1,000 sq ft suite has an exclusive pool and a spacious bedroom and sitting area, which adds seclusion that the other categories cannot match. It works for honeymoons, milestone celebrations and small families. An extra bed can be added.
Nanda Hill Resort rates through Shahi Travels run from ₹8,500 (Executive Room) to ₹18,000 (Nanda Suite with Private Pool) per room per night on weekdays with breakfast and GST included. Plunge pool suites start at ₹14,000. Rates are valid from 15 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.

The resort's centrepiece is a 3-step infinity pool that drops toward the Aravalli ridgeline, with sun loungers under a bamboo pergola along one side. The pool is lit after dark, so the night photos below show it glowing against the hillside. Per the resort's own FAQ the pool is not heated, so winter afternoons are the best time to swim.
Dining is centred on an all-day cafe and restaurant under a high thatched roof with window walls facing the hills, an in-house bakery and an a la carte menu, with indoor and outdoor seating and a candlelight dinner for couples. The Social Lounge and lobby is a high-ceilinged hall with tall arched windows, wicker and leather seating and the reception desk.

Nanda Hill Resort is at Sare Village on NH 8, the Udaipur to Nathdwara road, near the Chirwa Tunnel, about 2.5 km off the highway and close to Labhgarh Palace Resort. It lies north of Udaipur city on the Eklingji and Nathdwara side, so it is quiet and hilly while the lakes and palaces of Udaipur are 23 km away, about 35 to 40 minutes by road.

Nanda Hill Resort is about 278 km from Ahmedabad, roughly 4 hours 20 minutes to 4 hours 45 minutes by road. The route follows the Ahmedabad to Udaipur highway (NH 48, with tolls) and then the Nathdwara road. There is no nonstop Ahmedabad to Udaipur flight at present.
Drive the Ahmedabad to Udaipur highway (NH 48), then take the Nathdwara road past the Chirwa Tunnel to Sare Village. Start early on a Friday to arrive in time for the 2:00 PM check-in. We can arrange a private cab with a driver from Ahmedabad; see car hire from Ahmedabad. The resort also offers driver accommodation.
As of November 2026 a Vande Bharat Express between Surat and Udaipur City stops at Ahmedabad (Asarva). Reports put the Udaipur-bound train (26903) at Ahmedabad around 9:30 AM and in Udaipur City around 1:40 PM, six days a week except Tuesday, with the return (26904) leaving Udaipur City about 3:35 PM. Always confirm the current timetable on IRCTC. From Udaipur City station the resort is about 24 km, around 40 minutes, by cab.
Udaipur airport (UDR) is about 34 km, around 35 minutes, from the resort. Because there is no nonstop flight from Ahmedabad, flying means a connection through Delhi or Mumbai, and most Gujarat guests drive or take the train. Flight bookings are available if you are travelling from elsewhere.
October to March is the best season: comfortable days, cool evenings and clear hill views. December and January are the coldest months, so pack a jacket for evenings by the pool and the bonfire. April to June is hot, and July to September brings the monsoon, when the hills turn green but rain is heavy. Children up to 8 years sharing the parents' bed stay complimentary, and a child aged 8 to 14 using an extra bed is charged ₹2,000 per night on the breakfast plan (₹3,000 on the meals plan).
For individual bookings, there is no cancellation charge if you cancel more than 15 days before check-in.
